...beginning tomorrow, it's Shark Week.
This would be the shark:
Oh sure, he looks nice. Heck, he is nice. But my job was created so Calvin didn't have to do it because he's got a lot of other responsibilities. Meaning that the one-week suspensions will be frequent and without mercy for those of y'all who break the rules this week.
As for me, I've been here a year and change now, and this'll be both my first vacation and my first-ever trip out of the U.S. to not Canada. I'll be here:

I'll be eating a lot of delicious food and writing on my tiny netbook - the return of Does Not Compute[s] is impending - and honestly? I don't think I can take a vacation from you folks. I'll be checking in. But while I'm out of office, there will be a shark - who may not have time for checking histories and digging through research - fin-slapping through violators.

Walla Walla, Washington, the town so nice they named it twice? Oh please! Just down the road from Touchet, home of the Hiney Winery (well, until it burned down). Lots of better places in WA to take a vacation and the majority of those would be on the other side of the state. You know, near the big water.
Have a good time where ever you go, but don't eat the blow-fish.

Went to Columbia High in Burbank, right where the Snake dumps into the Columbia. Spent a lot of time getting wet, skiing up and down the gorge until my legs were rubber. Drove a vending machine route up to Walla Walla 3 days a week for years.
I'm telling you there are better places to take a vacation. Especially at your age. Unless you go for the Hydro-plane races but you're about 4 months to late for that. 100,000 drunk people watching insane water jockeys trying real hard not to catch air at 100 plus skimming across the water. Lake Washington is cool but your late for that one too.
Have fun, be safe, and you apparently have a lot more friends than I do. Come back with pics and tales for all those you've left behind or you'll never hear the end of it.
